A Town of Hempstead Board of Zoning Appeals hearing to review a proposal to construct a White Castle fast-food restaurant on on Sunrise Highway in Bellmore has been postponed to March 17 at 9:30 a.m. owing to the threat of snow. The hearing was originally scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 10, when a nor’easter was predicted to strike Long Island. On Tuesday morning, forecasters were saying the Island could see a half-foot of snow or more.
