Make a Splash –– Read comes to the library

Registration will begin on Monday, June 21, for the Merrick Library's summer reading program, Make a Splash –– Read. There are three age groups: Tadpoles for ages 12 to 35 months, where parents and babies do shared activities; Beach Buddies for 3 to 6 year olds, where books are read at home and recorded on reading charts; and Reading Sharks for children entering grades two through seven in September, where books are read and reported and recorded on charts. Prizes are picked from the library's deep sea treasure chest. Sign up is in the library's children's room. For more information, call (516) 377-6112.
