N. Bellmore soccer star on the national stage

Mepham High School alumna Sade Ayinde, who formerly played for the East Meadow Soccer Club, is among 23 players currently in a two-week training camp with the U.S. Under-20 Women's National Team. The camp which began May 8 and will run through May 23, is taking place at The Home Depot Center in Carson, Calif., and the U.S. Olympic Training Center in Chula Vista, Calif. Ayinde just finished her sophomore year at the University of Maryland, where she moved from defender to forward. The two-week period marks the final camp before the U-20 team heads to the 2010 FIFA U-20 Women's World Cup, which will kick off July 13 in Germany.
