Pat’s Farms in N. Merrick robbed

According to police, Pat’s Farms in Merrick was robbed just after 2 p.m. on Sunday, April 10.

Police say that a 63-year-old male store employee left Pat’s Farms while carrying the store’s money. He was bringing it to his vehicle, parked on Merrick Avenue, to deposit in the bank.

Before reaching his vehicle, the employee was approached by the suspect, who demanded the bag and threatened the victim, stating that he had a gun. The suspect grabbed the bag from the employee and ran off eastbound on Larkspur Avenue with an undisclosed amount of the store’s money.
