Sacred Heart Elementary School in North Merrick marked Catholic Schools Week from Jan. 29 to Feb. 5, as the school held activities and ceremonies throughout the week for students and community members to participate in.
This year’s theme was faith, academics and service, according to the National Catholic Education Association. On Thursday, Sacred Heart celebrated with a “fitness challenge” in the school gymnasium, and the Herald was there to catch the action.
