Three cheers for Kennedy cheerleaders!

The Kennedy High School cheerleading squad recently captured the Valley Stream North High School County Cheerleading Competition, and the team was honored with certificates at the Bellmore-Merrick Central High School District Board of Education meeting on Jan. 5. The team beat out eight other squads to win. Mallory Cogen, a former Kennedy cheerleader, now coaches the team.

Kennedy cheerleaders include, in alphabetical order, Zoey Bloom, Ashley Brocco, Marissa Buchbinder, Nicolette Codispoti, Teresa Davi, Makenzie Deodene, Nicoletta DeTurris, Rachel Freedman, Danielle Greenbaum, Patrick Grillo, Alexa Gura, Tiffany Hansen, Lee Kraut, Carly Medico, Lauren Pizzimenti, Courtney Samuels, Megan Schwab, Alexa Tavella, Julie Teplitz and Samantha Weber-Fishkin.
