Owl Prowl
Get up close and personal with those mysterious creatures of the night, presented by Theodore Roosevelt Sanctuary and Audubon Center. Discover what fascinating creatures they actually are at a live owl presentation. Then venture outside to hear calls of Great Horned and Eastern Screech Owls.

Swingin’ In The New Year!
Start the New Year off in New York swingin’ style with Joe Battaglia and The New York Big Band, along with special guest vocalists. Acclaimed as one of the finest big bands in the country, this 18-piece big band performs a repertoire that includes sophisticated dance, jazz, and Latin music. The band has had much success performing at such venues as Lincoln Center’s Midsummer Night Swing, The Supper Club, The Rainbow Room and Tavern on the Green.

Winter Hike
Explore Muttontown Preserve on a guided winter hike. Visit the “Succession Field Trail,” onetime farmland that has been reclaimed over the years by woods; the “Tall Conifers,” comprising white pine, spruce and larch planted in 1909; “Hidden Pond,” a kettle pond tucked away that is a great spot for bird-watching; and “Glacial Kame,” a hilly deposit formed during the ice age. The walk covers three miles over somewhat rough terrain.
