Wellness Council to host zumba class benefit

Posted

The Bellmore-Merrick Community Wellness Council will hold a zumba dance class in the Brookside School gymnasium on Friday, Nov. 4, with proceeds benefitting the council’s annual post-prom party.

The post-prom party, held after Calhoun, Kennedy and Mepham’s annual proms, provides a substance-free celebration at which graduates feel no pressure to drink or do drugs.

The zumba class will be held as part of a night of fun and fitness that will run from 6 to 10 p.m. The class will take place at 7:30 p.m.

Cost is $15 for those who are pre-registered; $20 at the door. Bring a towel and water. There will also be vendors, raffle prizes and a 50/50 drawing.
