Police searching for suspect with 'extremely messy' sedan

Police are searching for a man who allegedly struck a woman on the head and began to sexually assault her over the weekend in North Bellmore.

According to Nassau County police, at 2 a.m. on Sunday, a 25-year-old woman was walking on Porter Street near Porter Place when she was struck on the head. A white male suspect then carried her into a black sedan and began to sexually assault her, before she fought back and was able to flee, police said.

The woman was treated at a local hospital. According to police, the suspect is a 6-foot tall male in his 30s, with a very large build and a goatee, who was wearing blue jeans and a dark sweatshirt at the time. The suspect’s vehicle is a black four-door sedan with a tan interior that is extremely messy with garbage, police said.
