Cookie baking goes to the dogs
Jina Papadoniou/Herald
Jessica Corona, left and Olivia Gilmartin showed off their finished dog treats.

Oceanside teens gathered at the library on Oct. 16 to help animals in a unique way: baking them treats.

The kids worked to hand-make dog biscuits for stray and abandoned pets. After the treats were rolled, shaped and baked, they were boxed up and sent to Ruff House Rescue, a local animal shelter.
