Goldilocks and the Three Bears
Enjoy this classic story brought to life on the Long Island Children’s Museum stage. Find out what happens when little Goldilocks stumbles upon an empty cottage during her walk in the woods. This show was created for pre-school children, but the whole family will be laughing along too. Stay after the show and meet the characters.

Art Adventures

NCMA’s Family Day
Nassau County Museum of Art welcomes families for one of its special museum days. There’s still time to take the kids on a docent-led walk-through of the soon to be closing exhibition, “Sculpture / Dine /Pinocchio” and the contemporary galleries, featuring the works of Steven Salzman, beginning at 1 p.m., with supervised art activities, at 1:30 p.m. Also, enjoy the sculpture park, which features over 50 works, many of the monumental in size. For more outdoor fun, take a summer stroll through the museum’s 145 acres including many nature trails through the woods, ideal for family hikes.

Old Fashioned Delights

Mounted Cowboy Shooting Match
A bit of the old Wild West comes to Long Island. Step back in time into the late 1800s as cowboys saddle up and engage in a shooting match at Old Bethpage Village. Experience the excitement of those days when cowboys reigned and witness this fast action event in which ‘cowboys’ with single action revolvers are scored on accuracy and time. Also, check out some Old Time Base Ball played by vintage base ball clubs as the season heats up.
