As summer ends and class gets back in session, schools in Oceanside are making the transition from vacation to class work as easy as possible.
Over the last few weeks, the district’s elementary schools all hosted Back to School barbecues to welcome students back into the swing of things.
At Florence A. Smith School 2, the festivities were held last weekend on Sept. 22. Students and their families came to the school for a barbecue, but also enjoyed games, tie-dying shirts and spending time with their friends and classmates.
