Cops: O’side man drove drunk with 6-year-old

An Oceanside man was arrested for driving drunk with a 6-year-old in Lido Beach, Nassau County Police report.

On Sept. 7 at 4:34 p.m., Shawn Buschor, 40, of South Long Beach Road, Oceanside was seen driving a 2010 Toyota Sedan on Lido Boulevard and Loop Parkway. He was drunk, and his girlfriend’s 6-year-old daughter was in the back of the car.

Police released the child to family members. No one was reported hurt.

Police charged Buschor with violating Leandra’s Law, Endangering the Welfare of a Child, two counts of Driving While Intoxicated, Aggravated Driving While Intoxicated, Unlicensed Operation, and two counts of third-degree Aggravated Unlicensed Operation of a Vehicle.

Buschor was arraigned on Sept. 8 in First District Court in Hempstead. He was released after posting a $5,000 bail bond on Sept. 9. His next court date is scheduled for Oct. 1.
