A Summer Playground car wash for the benefit of the Oceanside Community Services Pantry was held on July 27 at School No. 6 and School No 5. Over 3,000 pounds of canned and non-perishable foods were collected for donation to the pantry.

Over100 people, including washers, counselors, counselors in training and staff took part in the event. While a dozen cars were actually washed, most people just brought in food to donate. Neighbors even walked up to the car wash to bring their donations.
