Former O’side firefighter dies

Kit Galgano passed away on Jan. 4 at the age of 69. He was born in Battle Creek, MI., to Daniel and Florence (Jordan) Galgano. He was a Vietnam Veteran, served in the Air Force, and was a former firefighter in Oceanside. In Tampa, Galgano was a dedicated worker for over 30 years with Alert Air Conditioning Service. He is survived by his parents, Daniel and Florence Galgano, a son Michael Galgano, two daughters, Maria Galgano, and Kit VanPelt, one brother, Louis Galgano, two sisters, Rosemary Galgano, and Teresa Galgano, and a lifelong friend Julia Keller. Arrangements are being made at the Blount & Curry Terrace Oaks Chapel in Temple Terrace, Florida.
