Rebecca Lynn Goldfarb, 8, of Oceanside, will have a starring role in the upcoming musical production of “Gypsy,” presented by the Rockville Centre Guild for the Arts.

This is the ninth show for Rebecca, a third-grade student at Fulton Avenue School #8, who will be acting, singing and dancing in the role of “Baby June.” Last year, she was in the Guild’s “Wizard of Oz,” and in “Annie,” produced by the Broadhollow Theatre.

“Ever since she first saw Gypsy, she dreamed of playing this role,” said her mother, Felicia Goldfarb. Rebecca has also appeared in three commercials, “Sesame Street,” “The Morning Show with Mike and Juliet,” and two Indie films that are slated for film festivals next year. Rebecca has done voice-overs for Onetray.org; the animated Nickelodeon show “The Wonderpets,” and a new animated pilot called “Tobi.”

Four performances of “Gypsy” will run at South Side Middle School, Hillside Avenue, Rockville Center on Friday, Oct. 23 at 8 p.m.; Saturday, Oct. 24 at 2:30 and 8 pm.; and Sunday, Oct. 25 at 2:30 p.m. For tickets, call (516) 616-3610.
