Kiwanis cleans up Oceanside

The Oceanside Kiwanis Club came out on April 1 to help clean up Oceanside.

The Kiwanis One Day was an event held to help promote cleaning up the community and engaging in community service.

Early in the day, Kiwanians gathered at Oceanside Park to plant a tree. The tree was planted to replace one that was destroyed during the severe wind storm last March.

After the tree planting, the Kiwanians made their way to the Terrell Avenue Park to clean it. They cleaned all the detritus off the ground, cleaned off the benches and even put a fresh coat of paint on them. Students from the Oceanside High School Key Club came to the park as well to aid in the cleanup effort.
