Kids learned how to sift flower, crack eggs and measure the ingredients — all in the pursuit of the perfect pancake.

Kids at the Oceanside Public Library on Feb. 22 got to learn how to make pancakes — and they left the ready-made mix in the cupboard.
In celebration of National Pancake Month, the kids were able to make and decorate their own old-fashioned pancakes. They sifted the flower, added the milk and eggs, and cooked them on a griddle.
And, of course, they got to do the best part of all — eating them.
