Oceanside Civic Association gets LIRR fence installed

At a Town Hall Meeting conducted by Councilman Anthony Santino earlier this year, Raymond Pagano, the president of the Oceanside Civic Association, raised the safety issue of exposed tracks nearby the Safety Swim Pool Facility at the Oceanside Long Island Rail Road station. Although there had been recognition of the issue, no response materialized. And so the Oceanside Civic Association stepped up to the plate and directly contacted the Department of Program management at the LIRR.

In late May, the LIRR completed installation of the high security fencing between the westbound track and Safety Swim of Oceanside at the Oceanside LIRR station.
