Science clearly runs in the Ilanges family of Oceanside. Anoj, a senior at Oceanside High School, is an Intel Semifinalist and was also recognized as a semifinalist by the Siemens Science, Math and Technology competition. Now, Anoj’s younger brother, 8th grader Arujan, has won the Oceanside Middle School Science Fair. Arujan’s project looked at the impact of anti-oxidants on fruit flies.
Alec Goldstein and Matthew Gilbert took second place with a project on Solar Energy, and Olivia Castagna and Simone DeBellis came in third for their research on Sports Drinks and Mice.
