For the second time this month, Oceanside — along with everywhere else on Long Island and way beyond — was covered with a significant snowfall. Plows, shovels, sleds, boots, children's laughter, super-cautious driving, careful walking and aching backs all became the symbols of the community's experience from Tuesday into a sunny Wednesday. The single-digit temperatures would bring winter's misery into Wednesday night as well.
