The Mill River Players, a singing group based out of Oceanside Senior Center, delighted its fellow seniors at St. Anthony’s community service center on April 13.
The group, led by director and pianist Stuart Waters, performs at various nursing homes and senior centers, according to Mill River Players member and 60-year Oceanside resident Selma Bryman, 88, who has been in the group for the last decade.
The ensemble of about 10 singers practices once a week at their Rockaway Avenue facility, she said, and will next perform classics from different eras and genres at the Levittown Community Center on April 20.
“We know they appreciate us,” Bryman said. “They enjoy being entertained, and we enjoy doing it.”
