All depends on the way you look at it...I did not see a man 'hawking,' but rather 'handing' out literature. Here's my experience. Like you, I first encountered Mr. McCloy at the high school budget vote. He was polite and respectful, and simply stated that he wanted to get in the race. He offered a flier with his website to check out his views on issues. Additionally, I observed him doing the same the very next morning at the LIRR station. The man is hitting the ground running; he is exercising his right to practice grassroots campaigning. I admire his commitment.
