Rockville Centre Community Fund funds new brick pathway

Posted

Rockville Centre Mayor Francis Murray led a dedication of a new brick pathway by the flagpole at village hall on Nov. 15.

The bricks, engraved with the names of special donors of the Rockville Centre Community Fund, were a part of the Enchanted Winterland’s “Paving the Way for our Neighbors in Need” campaign.

The Rockville Centre Community Fund, which was founded by former Mayor Eugene Murray in 1987, assists community members who have fallen on difficult economic times. In the time since it was created, the fund has raised nearly $1.5 million.

The Enchanted Winterland event, this year entitled “A Moonstruck Evening,” will take place on Jan. 27 at Molloy College. The evening will include an Italian supper with entertainment by the Sounds of Wing and Sinatra. This year’s Enchanted Winterland honoree is Parks and Recreation Superintendent Anthony Brunetta. For more information, please call Mary Rohrs at village hall at 516-678-9260.

Brick order forms are available at village hall and at Oceanville Mason Supply.
