Arrests

A resident of Roosevelt Boulevard, Long Beach, was arrested on Oct. 13 and charged with driving while intoxicated, reckless driving and vehicle and traffic law violations after an investigation on Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre.

On Oct. 14, a resident of Merrick Road, Rockville Centre, was arrested and charged with harassment and disorderly conduct after an investigation on Merrick Road.

Burglary

A resident of Jefferson Avenue, Rockville Centre, reported on Oct. 14 that someone entered her apartment and stole a Dell laptop, valued at $600, and an Insignia 55” television, valued at $700.

Larcenies

An employee of the Department of Public Works reported on Oct. 13 that someone stole eight manhole covers, valued at $2,000 total, from the vicinity of Buckminster Road. n A resident of Hendrickson Avenue, Rockville Centre, reported on Oct. 13 that someone stole an Apple computer valued at $1,200 from her 2012 Honda while parked in the driveway.

A shift supervisor from CVS Pharmacy, located at 598 Merrick Road, Rockville Centre, reported that someone stole items, valued at $121.23, and fled northbound on Oceanside Road in a black Honda.

Reckless Endangerment

Nassau County police responded to Ostego Road, Lakeview, to reports of shots fired on Oct. 8. An investigation revealed that one residence, five vehicles and a PVC fence had been struck by gunshots. Prior to the officers arrival, two men wearing black hooded sweatshirts and black pants were observed discharging black handguns. The men entered a newer model silver Cadillac and fled the scene southbound on Ontario Road. No inuries were reported and the investigation is ongoing.

Unusual Incident

A resident of Grand Avenue, Rockville Centre, reported on Oct. 14 that someone made an unauthorized transaction, valued at $724, in Great Britain against his TD bank account.

Property Damage

A resident of Gilbert Street, South Hempstead, reported that her 2012 Nissan was damaged while parked in Municipal Parking Field 1.

Village Code Violations

A resident of Rockville Centre, was issued an appearance ticket by the MTA on Sept. 16 charging him with smoking a cigarette on the LIRR station platform.

A resident of Valley Stream, was issued an appearance ticket by the MTA on Sept. 16 charging him with an open container violation.

A resident of West Hempstead, was issued an appearance ticket on Sept. 27 charging him with disturbing the peace.

A resident of Lynbrook was issued an appearance ticket on Oct. 3 charging him with operating a taxi service without a license.
