Though the celebration was delayed for a day because of weather, the annual Rockville Centre fireworks were still a great time for everyone.
Around 8,000 people filled Centennial Park on July 10 to celebrate the anniversary of the village’s incorporation.
The South Shore Symphony, led by Wayne Lipton, filled the park with music for hours until the pyrotechnics began. Then, a Grucci Fireworks show wowed people all over town.
Every year, the fireworks show is sponsored by different people and groups to keep it free for everyone. This year’s major sponsors were South Nassau Communities Hospital, Concierge Choice Physicians LLC, Turnabout Plumbing and Heating, Oceanville Mason Supply, The Croutier Family, Mayor Francis X. Murray and Deputy Nancy Howard.
