Mayor Francis Murray, center, Deputy Mayor Nancy Howard, to his right, and Trustee Ed Oppenheimer, flanked by Sandel Center Director Dr. Cyd Charrow, far right and Deputy Director Chis O’Leary, were on hand to enjoy the Sandel Center’s “Inaugural Ball” to honor Rockville Centre’s Board of Trustees.

About 80 members of the Sandel Senior Center, dressed in elegant attire, turned out for a formal “Inaugural Ball” to honor Mayor Francis Murray and Rockville Centre’s trustees on Sept. 23. After enjoying an array of refreshments, they danced to music by Wally Feith and the Moonlight Serenade Swing Band. Murray, who was accompanied by his wife, Barbara and his parents, former Mayor Gene Murray and wife Mary Lou, thanked the seniors for their support and spoke of his enthusiasm toward his new role. Other guests included Deputy Mayor Nancy Howard, Trustee Ed Oppenheimer, Village Administrator Frank Quigley, Police Commissioner Chuck Gennario, Friends of Senior Services Inc. President Charlotte Allen and TD Bank Manager Ryan Koutsogiannis and a member of his staff.
