Rockville Centre residents from all faiths joined together for the 69th annual Interfaith Service of Thanksgiving last week at the United Church of Rockville Centre. The uplifting service included a welcome from Rev. Scott A. Ressman of the United Church of Rockville Centre, greetings from Mayor Francis X. Murray, an invocation by Rev. Mark Lukens from Bethany Congregational United Church of Christ, a scripture reading by Rabbi Elliot Skiddell from Central Synagogue-Beth Emeth, a prayer from Rev. Penny Gadzini and a message from Rena Riback of the Anti-Racism Project. The annual service, which also included messages in songs, serves as a reminder to set aside any difference and work together to make the community a better place.
