Arrests

At 7:23 a.m. on Feb. 8, a 46-year-old man from Newark, N.J., was arrested and charged with second-degree harassment and second-degree criminal trespassing at an Old Mill Court apartment.

On Feb. 12 at 1:46 a.m., a 25-year-old New Hyde Park resident was arrested and charged with third-degree criminal mischief, resisting arrest and second-degree harassment in the vicinity of North Park Avenue.

A 36-year-old Rockville Centre resident was arrested on Feb. 13 at 10:02 p.m. and charged with third-degree assault at his home.

Assault

On Feb. 9 at 8:29 p.m., a customer at Voodoo Crab reported that someone threw a glass at her, causing a laceration to the head.

Criminal mischief

At 8:15 p.m. on Feb. 10, a motorist notified police that someone damaged the roof and side of his car while it was parked at 40 Maine Ave.

A motorist reported on Feb. 16 at 12:38 p.m. that someone struck his car with a crowbar while he was driving on Peninsula Boulevard.

Larceny

On Feb. 16 at 8 a.m., a Dogwood Lane resident reported that his car was stolen from his driveway.

A South Lewis Place resident reported that his car was stolen from his driveway on Feb. 8 at 6:13 a.m. The vehicle was found via a GPS in Newark, N.J.

On Feb. 9 at 4:15 p.m., a Banks Avenue resident notified police that someone stole her credit card from the lobby of her building, and made unauthorized charges.

At 7:13 a.m. on Feb. 10, a Riverside Drive resident reported that someone stole property from her and her husband’s vehicle while it was parked in their driveway.

An Oxford Road resident notified police that someone stole property from his father’s Lenox Road apartment, after his death, on Feb. 12 at 3:15 p.m.

Investigation

On Feb. 10 at 11:26 a.m., an employee of Sultan Convenience Store, 165 Maple Ave., was issued an appearance ticket for illegal possession of untaxed packs of cigarettes during a joint police investigation with the state’s Department of Taxation and Finance.

At 2:23 a.m. on Feb. 12, a Lincoln Avenue resident reported that he was the victim of a scam via social media.

The manager of Sobol, 218 Merrick Road, reported that someone entered the store and represented himself as a fire inspector seeking to probe the building for fire code violations on Feb. 19 at 12:42 p.m.

On Feb. 19 at 12:58 p.m., the manager of Dunkin’, 61 North Village Ave., notified police that someone entered the building and represented himself as a fire inspector seeking to probe the building for fire code violations.

Harassment

A doctor notified police that he received a threatening voicemail on his phone at his North Village Avenue office on Feb. 7 at 5:22 a.m.

Leaving the scene

On Feb. 8 at 12:17 p.m., a motorist reported that her car was struck by a vehicle that left the scene while she was driving on North Forest Avenue.

At 11:36 p.m. on Feb. 13, a driver notified police that his car was struck by a vehicle that left the scene while it was parked on Raymond Street.

A motorist reported that her car was struck by a vehicle that left the scene while it was parked on Woodland Avenue.

Narcotics destruction

On Feb. 8 at 8:44 a.m., 26 pounds of pharmaceuticals from the Rockville Centre Police Department’s drug take-back box were transferred to the Nassau County Police Department for destruction.

Property damage

At 4:41 p.m. on Feb. 16, a North Centre Avenue resident reported that her two vehicles were damaged due to a large fire on Sunrise Highway.

Lost property

A Wright Road resident notified police that she lost a Florida identification card, an iPhone and a credit card from her residence on Feb. 15 at 4:28 p.m.

On Feb. 15 at 9:04 p.m.,  a Port Authority police officer reported that he lost his police badge in the vicinity of the Avalon Bay apartments.

At 10:19 a.m. on Feb. 20, a customer reported that he lost his wallet at Taco Bell, 570 Sunrise Highway.
