Criminal mischief

On March 1 at 10:33 p.m., the manager of Dirty Taco, 201 Sunrise Highway, reported that someone damaged the front door of the business while leaving the restaurant without paying the bill.

Public lewdness

At 7:38 a.m., a Southard Avenue resident notified police that a Lyft driver exposed himself to her after he dropped her home.

Larceny

A Hempstead Avenue resident reported that someone stole a sign that was on her front lawn on March 2 at 1:09 p.m.

Leaving the scene

On Feb. 28 at 5:52 p.m., a motorist notified police that her car was struck by a vehicle that left the scene while she was driving on Peninsula Boulevard.

At 9:47 a.m. on March 4, an employee of Mercy Hospital reported that a car was struck by a vehicle that left the scene while parked in the parking lot.

A motorist notified police that her car was struck by a vehicle that left the scene while she was driving on Sunrise Highway on March 5 at 12:24 a.m. Officers from the Lynbrook Police Department found the car a short time later in their village and the operator was arrested for driving while intoxicated and leaving the scene of an accident with personal injury. The police report did not include the driver’s identity.

Lost property

On Feb. 28 at 10:07 a.m., a Maine Avenue resident reported that she lost her wallet inside her apartment.

At 2:07 p.m. on March 3, a South Park Avenue resident notified police that he lost his New York state vehicle registration plates after his car was repossessed.
