Lt. Joseph Kaplan graduated from Army Ranger School, finishing first in his class.

Lt. Josef Kaplan, son of Dawn and Philip Kaplan, graduated from Army Ranger School at Fort Benning, Ga. on July 16. Josef finished first in his class and received the Col. Puckett Honor Graduate Award. He will be rejoining his unit, the 101st Airborne, at Fort Campbell, Ky. before deployment to Afghanistan in early autumn. Josef is a 2009 graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point.
