The Friends of Senior Services, Inc. (FOSSI) held its annual Monte Carlo Night fundraiser at the Sandel Center on April 27. This year’s honoree was Dr. Cyd Charrow, the director of teh Sandel Center, who will be retiring in May.

Charrow has been the Director of Senior Services in the Village of Rockville Centre for 28 years. In 2001, the Senior Center became the first on Long Island to be Accredited by the National Council on Aging and the National Institute of Senior Centers.

The evening was also a fundraiser for FOSSI, a not-for-profit community group that supports the Department of Senior Services. All of the food and drink were donated by local businesses, and attendees were able to “bet” and win big prizes.
