A Rockville Centre teen, Kelsey McCabe, has been selected to perform at the 83rd Annual Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. She attended Stagedoor Manor Performing Arts Training Center in Loch Sheldrake, N.Y. this summer and will join 60 fellow performers from that program in a first-ever singing/dancing finale at the parade.

Kelsey, 16, has attended Stagedoor Manor for four years and has appeared locally with Kids Performing Who Kare for many years in “Bye Bye Birdie,” “Annie,” “Into the Woods” and “High School Musical.” She also has been in the “Sound of Music,” “Our Town” and “The Odd Couple” at Kellenberg Memorial High School.  At Stages, she has starred in “The Little Mermaid,” “The Mask Man,” and “Guys and Dolls” and she is currently choreographing “Willy Wonka.” In addition to performing in musical theater, she writes and performs her own pop/rock music at many charity events including “Rock Out” Autism and the Walk-A-Thon for Autism.

Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade, celebrating the holiday since 1924, is viewed live by over 2 million spectators along the route and an estimated 65 million NBC viewers nationwide.
