Hewitt's own royal wedding

Posted

William and Kate weren’t the only ones in the spotlight on April 29. Students in Hewitt’s kindergarten also celebrated their own nuptials in high style. With footage of the real royal wedding featured on a big screen behind them, “Q” — Jack Murphy, and “U” — Lauren Marquardt were married in a ceremony officiated by Assistant Superintendent of Curriculum Chris Pellettieri. With family, friends and the alphabet’s other letters (of course) in attendance, U promised to follow Q in all words till death do they part.

This festive event, which involved the participation of each and every kindergartener, made a lasting impression on the minds of Hewitt’s young royals.

“Kudos to Trici Broderick, Hewitt’s academic facilitator, and kindergarten teachers Patrice Camastro, Danielle Cannon and Donna Jackson for bringing learning to life in such and fun and exciting way,” said Hewitt Principal Liz Pryke.
