Get ready for an invasion of the dragons – as in fire-breathing dragons that will soar through air at Nassau Coliseum – when Dreamworks’ “How to Train Your Dragon Live Spectacular" visits Long Island, Aug. 1-5.

Audiences will experience the heart-warming story of Hiccup and Toothless brought to life, based on the Academy Award-nominated film of the same name. This live production rolls fire-breathing action, epic adventure and laughter into an original story set in the mythical world of burly Vikings and wild dragons. Based on the book by Cressida Cowell, it centers on Hiccup, a Viking teenager who doesn’t fit in with his tribe’s longstanding tradition of heroic dragon slayers. Hiccup’s world is turned upside down when he encounters a dragon that challenges him and his fellow Vikings to see the world from an entirely different point of view.

Tickets are $24.50-$89.50, with a limited number of premium Dragon Hot Seats and VIP Family Packages also offered; available (800) 745-3000 or www.ticketmaster.com. Nassau Coliseum, Uniondale.
