Nearly 1,000 Rockville Centre Summer Playground campers, family members and friends gathered at the Rec Center on the night of July 28 to celebrate the summer in style.
The Family Carnival, one of the many multi-generational events hosted by the Rec Center, is held annually for campers in the Summer Playground, a daily summer camp which is held in three locations throughout the village.
This year’s carnival featured activities such as face painting, floor hockey, archery and bowling. Blue-shirted summer program camp counselors were scattered throughout the center, helping young campers and their families with whatever they needed.
