Nassau County Legislator Howard Kopel presented the village with a $75,000 check for the new fence on North Village Avenue at the March 2 Board of Trustees Meeting.

“It was in terrible ill repair,” Mayor Francis X. Murray said of the old fence. “I have to thank our legislator, Howard Kopel, for stepping forward with over $75,000 and I hope you’ve noticed the new black fence along that area.”

Kopel thanked Murray for the kind words and complimented his work ethic. “If you want to get something done, this man is relentless,” Kopel said. “You want him on your side.”
