Man struck by train in RVC, according to MTA

An unidentified male was struck by a train in Rockville Centre this afternoon, according to a post shared on social media via the Long Island Rail Road. 

According to an MTA spokesperson, the incident occurred around 12:44 p.m. Local emergency services responded and removed the person who was alive at the scene. He is currently being treated at an area hospital. 

The spokesperson said that there was minimal impact to service.
