It will be a virtual send-off for Molloy College’s class of 2020 and its college president of 20 years, Dr. Drew Bogner, who retires in mid-June.

The college in Rockville Centre will hold its 2020 Commencement Ceremony during a livestream video on Monday, May 18 at 6 p.m. Members of the class of 2020 will also be invited to participate in the in-person graduation ceremony for the class of 2021, which the college anticipates to hold next year.

More than 827 undergraduate, 440 graduate students and 20 doctoral candidates will participate by sending a photo and quote of themselves to be displayed in a virtual, photo gallery-style event.

“As this would have been my last Commencement as President of Molloy, I am disappointed that we will not be able to celebrate in-person,” Dr. Bogner said, “but we are planning a very exciting virtual event.”

The program will run as follows:

- Opening prayer: Sister Pat McVetty

- Valedictorian address by James Moore (Accounting)

- Salutatorian address by Dharana Prasad (Biology)

- Commencement address by President Drew Bogner

- Granting of degrees (Marching order slides)

- Conferral of degrees: John McEntee, Chairman of the Board of Trustees

-  Benediction: Monsignor Frank Caldwell

-  Performances by Students:

o   National Anthem: Cameron Scofield (CAP21)

o   Alma Mater: Arturo Hernan (CAP21)

o   Bagpipes: Erin McGrath
