The South Side Middle School Drama Club put on a production of “Almost Famous” on Nov. 4 and 5. The musical revue featured productions from “Jersey boys,” “Follies,” “The Producers,” and much more.

Drama club teacher, Michelle Yeates, and her assistants, high school ninth graders Nicholas Pandolfo and Lila Naccari, directed the play. The production featured new lighting and sound systems set up by Victor Lee. It featured an ensemble cast of South Side Middle Schoolers from all grade levels.

Dr. Brian Zuar, Rockville Centre school district’s director of the arts, praised everyone involved in the production during his introduction. “Almost Famous is a show about actors trying to make it big,” he said. “But, in my mind, these kids have already made it big.”
