Nassau County Legislator Scott M. Davis was sworn in for his first term in office representing residents in the newly reapportioned Legislative District 1, encompassing the villages of Rockville Centre and Hempstead, on Friday, Jan. 5.

Family, friends and supporters watched in the audience, while Davis and colleagues with the Minority Caucus were read the oath by former Nassau County Legislature Minority Leader Kevan M. Abrahams.

“Taking the oath of office in the presence of my family, friends and loved ones marked a wonderful and humbling culmination to the journey toward becoming a Nassau County Legislator,” Davis said in a statement. “Serving alongside Minority Leader Delia DeRiggi-Whitton and my colleagues gives me the opportunity to advocate for the residents of Nassau County, and I am ready to roll up my sleeves and fulfill my duties with transparency, an open mind, and a hand extended to every resident of Legislative District 1.”
