Special District Meeting, Dec. 17, for the public to vote on the $31.8 million bond issue referendum for renovations to South Side High School. Ballots can be cast in the school’s gym between 7 a.m. and 9 p.m. on that day.

Absentee ballots are available from the district clerk. An application for an absentee ballot may be obtained at the school district office, 128 Shepherd St., by calling (516) 255-8921 or from the district’s Web site, www.rvcschools.org.

To have a ballot mailed to an eligible voter, an application must be received at least seven days before the election. Applications may also be picked up from the district clerk no later than the day before the election.

Ballots must be received in the district clerk’s office by 5 p.m. on Dec. 17, the day of the vote.

SSHS Alumni Association Meeting

The South Side High School Alumni Association will hold a regular meeting on Dec. 15 at 7:30 p.m. in room 120 at the high school. 

SSHS Winter Concerts

The community is invited to the concerts on Dec. 16 and Dec. 17 at 7 p.m. in South Side High School’s auditorium.
