Ramada Inn robbed at gunpoint

An armed man robbed the Ramada Inn on Sunrise Highway early Friday morning, Nassau County police said.

According to detectives, an unknown black man armed with a silver handgun came into the Ramada Inn, located at 1000 Sunrise Highway in Rockville Centre, at 4:47 a.m. on June 7.

Police said that a 39-year-old employee was working at the time when the man came in and displayed the handgun. The man demanded money and was given an undetermined amount before fleeing the scene eastbound on Sunrise Highway. No injuries were reported.

The man is described as 6 feet tall, 225 pounds, wearing a white scarf over his face, a green jacket, white shirt and black pants.
