Rockville Centre 10K, 5K and Family Fun runs set for Nov. 13

Hundreds of runners from Rockville Centre and beyond will take to village roads on Saturday starting at 10 a.m., when the Parks and Recreation Department and the Chamber of Commerce host the 33rd annual 10K (6.2-mile) road race and the newer 5K (3.1-mile) race.

The starting line for both events is on Park Avenue, between Merrick Road and Sunrise Highway, in front of the Fantasy movie theater. Race day registration is at Village Hall, One College Place and Clinton Avenue, and the fees are $28 for the 10K and $22 for the 5K. The course is flat and fast, and the race will be run rain or shine.

A 1-mile Family Fun Run begins that morning at 9 a.m. on Front Street, in front of the LIRR station. The entry fee is $9.
