People named in Crime Watch items as having been arrested and charged with violations or crimes are only suspected of committing those acts of which they are accused. They are all presumed to be innocent of those charges until and unless found guilty in a court of law.

Arrest

A 42-year-old woman from Banks Avenue, Rockville Centre, was arrested on Nov. 16 and charged with forgery after a joint law enforcement investigation at her residence.

Burglary

Police responded to a reported burglary on Nov. 15 at an Intervale, Rockville Centre residence. A laptop computer and an X-Box game system were reportedly stolen.

Larcenies

A resident of S. Forest Avenue reported on Nov. 15 that someone stole a GPS and $20 from a car parked in her driveway.

A manager of the CVS Pharmacy located at 598 Merrick Road reported on Nov. 17 that two people attempted to steal a Norelco Razor valued at $107.99 The two men reportedly fled in a 1997 Ford.

A resident of South Centre Avenue reported on Nov. 19 that someone entered her vehicle and stole $80 and personal papers while it was parked in the rear of her building.

The following day, a resident of Strathmore Lane reported that her 2000 Toyota Sienna was stolen from her driveway.

A resident of Valley Stream reported the same day that someone stole an iPod from his vehicle while it was parked in Municipal Parking Field 3.

A Wantagh resident reported on Nov. 20 that her passport was stolen from her pocketbook while she was inside Kasey’s American Bar and Grill.

Two Oceanside residents, both aged 13, reported on the same day that their bicycles were stolen while they were eating inside McDonalds at 618 Sunrise Highway.

Criminal mischief

A resident of S. Park Avenue reported on Nov. 15 that a double pane bedroom window was damaged by a thrown rock.

Graffiti

An owner of Bellini Furniture, located at 500 Sunrise Highway, reported on Nov. 16 that she found graffiti on the side of her building.

Identity theft

A resident of S. Kensington Avenue, Rockville Centre reported on Nov. 16 that someone made purchases totaling $293 against her Chase Amazon account without authorization.

Property lost

A resident of Powell Avenue, Rockville Centre reported on Nov. 17 that she lost her engagement ring, valued at $38,000.

Assaults

A resident of Southard Avenue, Rockville Centre reported on Nov. 18 that he was assaulted by an acquaintance while he was skateboarding with his friends at 242 Merrick Road.

Three Brooklyn residents reported on Nov. 19 that a woman assaulted them at the corner of Sunrise Highway and N. Village Avenue. She reportedly struck all three victims with a shoe. All were treated at Mercy Medical Center.
