People named in Crime Watch items as having been arrested and charged with violations or crimes are only suspected of committing those acts of which they are accused. They are all presumed to be innocent of those charges until and unless found guilty in a court of law.

Arrest

A 22-year-old Huntington Station man was arrested on Jan. 1 and charged with obstructing governmental administration and resisting arrest after an investigation on Berkshire Road, Rockville Centre.

Burglary

Police responded to an Oxford Road residence for an alarm activation on Dec. 29 and discovered a broken rear window, though there was no apparent entry at the time of the report.

Assault

A resident of Flushing reported that on Dec. 30, someone assaulted him while at McFadden’s Bar at 210 Merrick Road, causing injuries that included a broken nose, fractured skull and severe lacerations.

SLA violation

McFadden’s Bar Manager Michael Frasca was issued an appearance ticket charging him with an ABC violation for a disorderly premise, in connection with the Dec. 30th assault.

Larcenies

An employee of Village Hall reported on Dec. 30 that someone made unauthorized purchases from TJ Maxx, Petco, Target and Home Depot, totaling $725.25, using fraudulent checks against a Village of Rockville Centre Chase account.

The same day, a resident of Schuyler Avenue, Rockville Centre reported that someone stole his Trek bicycle valued at $100 from the vicinity of Front Street and N. Park Avenue.

A resident of Healy Street, Elmont reported the next day that someone stole his Trek bicycle valued at $300 from the vicinity of Merrick Road, Rockville Centre.

A resident of Prospect Avenue, East Meadow reported on Dec. 31 that someone stole the passenger rear tire and wheel from her 2009 Honda while it was parked at Mercy Medical Centre.

A resident of Lakeside Drive, Rockville Centre reported on Jan. 2 that someone stole three bicycles from his driveway. The resident reported that one bicycle was recovered in the vicinity of Peninsula Boulevard and Lakeside Avenue.

The next day, a resident of Heckimer Avenue, Hewlett reported that someone damaged the rear passenger window of his 2005 Toyota while it was parked at TGI Friday, at 716 Sunrise Highway. The victim said approximately $20 was stolen from the car.

Criminal mischief

A resident of Oak Street, Baldwin reported on Jan. 1 someone damaged two side view mirrors of his 2000 Ford, valued at $200, while parked on Andover Road, Rockville Centre.

The same day, a resident of Howell, New Jersey, reported that someone damaged the rear windshield wiper of his 2005 Nissan, valued at $250, while parked on Arrandale Road, Rockville Centre.

A resident of Lorrie Drive, Oceanside reported on Jan. 2 that someone damaged the passenger side front window of his 2001 Chevrolet, valued at $200, while it was traveling on Merrick Road in Rockville Centre. The resident reported that he believed the window was damaged with an “airsoft” type pellet.

Property damage

A resident of Central Avenue, Baldwin, reported on Dec. 29 a window of 85 Rockaway Ave., Rockville Centre was damaged. The window was valued at $300.

A resident of N. Forest Avenue, Rockville Centre, reported on Dec. 31 that the windshield of his 2011 Infiniti was damaged by unknown means while traveling southbound on N. Long Beach Road. The windshield was valued at $200.

The next day, a manager of Long Island Blood Services, at 290 Sunrise Highway, Rockville Centre, reported that the front door, valued at $250, was damaged.

A superintendent of Morris Avenue, Rockville Centre reported on Jan. 2 that the building sign in front of Hampton House, 120 Morris Avenue, was damaged. The sign is valued at $700.
