Rockville Centre crime watch Nov. 10, 2011

People named in Crime Watch items as having been arrested and charged with violations or crimes are only suspected of committing those acts of which they are accused. They are all presumed to be innocent of those charges until and unless found guilty in a court of law.

Arrests

A 26-year-old Hempstead man was arrested on Oct. 26 and charged with criminal possession of marijuana after an investigation on N. Long Beach Road.

A 26-year-old man from Rosedale was arrested the same day and charged with two counts of aggravated unlicensed operation following an investigation on Sunrise Highway.

The same day, a 40-year-old man from Hempstead, was arrested for aggravated unlicensed operation after an investigation at Meehan Lane.

A 46-year-old woman from Lakeview Avenue, Rockville Centre was arrested on Oct. 29 and charged with petit larceny after an investigation at King Kullen, 127 Sunrise Highway.

A 24-year-old Freeport man was arrested and charged with disorderly conduct following a police investigation at McFadden’s Bar, 210 Merrick Road.

Burglaries

A resident of Kenwood Court, Rockville Centre reported on Oct. 25 that someone tried to force open a rear sliding glass door.

The same day, a landlord of a residence at Roxbury Road, Rockville Centre, reported that someone entered a first floor apartment between Sept. 15 and Oct. 25 and stole an oven and a dishwasher.

A property manager from 2 Lincoln Ave. reported on Oct. 28 that someone entered the building without permission, placed graffiti in the stairwell and etched it into glass at that location as well.

Larcenies

A resident of Hempstead Avenue reported on Oct. 24 that someone stole a Samsung digital camera valued at $500 from his 2003 GMC while it was parked outside his residence.

A landscaper reported on Oct. 25 that a lawnmower and trimmer were stolen from his trailer while it was parked on Muirfield Road.

A teacher from Hewitt Elementary School reported on Oct 26 that someone stole a school-issued iPad valued at $619 from a pocketbook that was left unattended in a classroom.

A resident of Dogwood Lane, Rockville Centre, reported on Oct. 27 that her Garmin GPS, valued at $100, was stolen from her car parked in Municipal Parking Field 2.

On Oct. 30, a resident of East Rockaway reported that someone stole an iPhone valued at $800 from his coat pocket while at McFadden’s Bar.

Criminal mischief

A resident of Rockville Centre reported on Oct. 17 that someone damaged his Porsche by scratching the paint while it was parked in her driveway.

A resident of Lynbrook reported on Oct. 21 that someone damaged the driver side rear and passenger side front tires of his 2001 Cadillac while it was parked in front of 486 Sunrise Highway.

The owner of Happy Hostess, 318A Sunrise Highway, reported on Oct. 29 that someone damaged a storefront window valued at $1,000.

The same day, a resident of Lakeview Avenue, Rockville Centre, reported that someone damaged the front passenger window to his 2008 Nissan.

Unusual incident

An Oceanside resident reported on Oct. 21 that someone debited $1,350.59 from her Astoria Federal Savings bank account without authorization.

Property damage

A resident of Baldwin reported on Oct. 27 that the bumper of his 2008 Mitsubishi was damaged while it was parked in MPF 3.

Graffiti

Police personnel reported on Oct. 28 that graffiti had been placed on a traffic signal box located at the intersection of N. Forest Avenue and Maple Avenue.

Lost property

A resident of Merrick Road, Rockville Centre, reported on Oct. 27 that he lost his iPhone, valued at $199.

Village Code Violations

n William Drew, 61, of Freeport, was issued an appearance ticket on Aug. 18 charging him with failing to remove curbside recyclables.

n Phillip Proszowski, 19, of Brooklyn, was issued an appearance ticket on Aug. 19 charging him with being unnecessarily loud.

n Jose Estrada, 52, of Island Park, was issued an appearance ticket on Sept. 28 charging him with failing to remove curbside garbage.

n Daniel Marquina, 21, of Freeport, was issued an appearance ticket on Sept. 30 charging him with urinating in public.

n Jordens Baptiste, 20, of Lakeview, was issued an appearance ticket on Oct. 1 charging him with disorderly conduct.

n A resident of Rockville Centre reported on Oct. 6 that someone had been allowing dog feces to be deposited on his front lawn.

n Matthew Margiotta, 26, of Rockville Centre, was issued an appearance ticket on Oct. 7 and charged with disturbing the peace at 2 a.m.

n John Parzych, 21, of East Rockaway, was issued an appearance ticket on Oct. 8 and charged with disturbing the peace at 4 a.m.

n The same day, Robert Macchia, 28, of West Babylon, was issued an appearance ticket and charged with urinating in public at 3 a.m.

n Michael Frasca, 34, of East Rockaway, was issued an appearance ticket on Oct. 13 and charged with contaminated liquor and a failure to display license.

n Huseyin Ozdemir, 31, of Oceanside, was issued an appearance ticket on Oct. 13 and charged with failing to post warning signs.

William Brennan, 33, of Oceanside, was issued an appearance ticket the same day and charged with contaminated liquor and a failure to display license.

Javaan Torres, 21, of Baldwin, was issued an appearance ticket on Oct. 14 and charged with an open container violation at 11:30 p.m.

Joseph Aiosa, 32, of Oceanside, was issued an appearance ticket on Oct. 22 charging him with disturbing the peace at 3 a.m.

William Drew, 61, of Freeport, was issued an appearance ticket on Oct. 23 charging him with unlawfully removing curbside garbage.

Brian McBride, 34, of Oceanside, was issued an appearance ticket on Oct. 31 charging him with an open container violation.

James Giamo, 50, of Rockville Centre, was issued an appearance ticket on Nov. 1 charging him with an open container violation.

Roy Munson, 54, of Roosevelt, was issued an appearance ticket on the same day charging him with an open container violation.

The same day, James Fowler, 54, of Rockville centre was issued an appearance ticket charging him with an open container violation.
