People named in Crime Watch items as having been arrested and charged with violations or crimes are only suspected of committing those acts of which they are accused. They are all presumed to be innocent of those charges until and unless found guilty in a court of law.

Arrests

A 28-year old Hempstead man and a 25-year-old man from Old Mill Court were arrested on Oct. 19 at 1 a.m. for open bench warrants and both were charged with being in a park after hours following an investigation at Morgan Days Park.

On Oct. 19 a 29-year-old Long Beach man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after an investigation at the intersection of Long Beach Road and Merrick Road.

A 28-year-old Valley Stream man was arrested the same day and charged with possession of narcotics after an investigation at Sunrise Highway.

A 54-year-old man from Deer Park was arrested on Oct. 22 and charged with disorderly conduct and an open container violation after an investigation on N. Village Avenue.

Also on Oct. 22, a 49-year-old Laurelton man was arrested and charged with driving while intoxicated after an investigation at the intersection of Merrick Road and S. Kensington Avenue.

A 33-year-old Huntington woman was arrested on Oct. 23 and charged with assault and criminal possession of a weapon after an investigation at Kasey’s American Bar and Grill at 23 N. Park Ave.

A 21-year-old Oceanside woman was arrested the next day and charged with petit larceny after an investigation at King Kullen at 127 Sunrise Highway.

Burglaries

A resident of Merrick Road reported on Oct. 19 that someone damaged the rear window of his place of business on Merrick Road and stole property, including a Sony laptop.

A resident of Plymouth Road reported on Oct. 24 that someone damaged a glass pane window to a door located within a screened porch in the rear of her residence, although nothing was reported stolen at the time of the report.

Assault

A resident of Bethpage reported on Oct. 23 that an acquaintance kicked him in the face, causing injury, while they were in front of 279 Sunrise Highway at 2:30 a.m.

Larcenies

A resident of S. Marion Place reported on Oct. 18 that someone stole property, including a Dell laptop valued at $1,500 from her 2000 Subaru while it was parked in the building’s parking lot.

The same day, a resident of Rockville Centre reported that someone stole property, including a Sanyo cell phone valued at $100, from her 2011 Toyota Corolla while it was parked in Municipal Parking Field 19.

A resident of Rockville Centre reported the next day that someone stole property, including a Blackberry cell phone valued at $300 from his 2011 Lincoln that was parked in the lot of St. Agnes Cathedral.

The same day, a resident of Rockville Centre reported that someone stole property, including $10, from her 2011 Jeep parked in Municipal Parking Field 17.

A resident of Rockville Centre reported on Oct, 22 that someone stole a Panasonic bicycle valued at $45 from the vicinity of the Long Island Railroad Station.
