Arrests

A 27-year-old Rockville Centre man was arrested on Aug. 25 regarding an open case for an incident that reportedly occurred in the Nassau County 5th precinct

A 25-year-old Lakeview man was arrested on Aug. 26 and charged with disorderly conduct and obstructing governmental administration after an investigation by police around 324 Merrick Road, Rockville Centre.

A 22-year-old Rockville Centre woman was arrested on Aug. 29 and charged with petit larceny after a police investigation at CVS at 155 Sunrise Highway.

Burglary

A manager of the AT + T store at 237 Sunrise highway reported on Aug. 29 that someone damaged a front glass window valued at $200 and stole 11 cell phones valued at $4,640 in total.

A resident of Rockville Centre reported on Aug. 30 that someone damaged a living room window and back door screen lock and entered the house without permission. There was no reported loss at the time of the report.

Assault

A resident of Syosset reported on Aug. 27 that a man driving a black Land Rover punched him in the jaw while at the intersection of Merick Road and N. Village Avenue.

Larcenies

A resident of Rockville Centre reported on Aug. 22 that someone stole two NYS license plates from his 2008 Honda while parked at his residence.

A resident of Rockville Centre reported on Aug. 24 that her pocketbook was stolen while she was in the vicinity of Monroe Street and Jefferson Avenue. Later on, two fifteen year old males were apprehended in the area.

A resident of Rockville Centre reported on Aug. 29 that someone stole property from his 2007 Jeep that was parked in his driveway.

Harassment

A resident of Rockville Centre reported on Aug. 24 that a relative of his father’s tenant had threatened him the day before.

A resident of Rockville Centre reported on Aug. 27 that she received unwanted text messages containing photos of unknown children from an unfamiliar telephone number.

Fire

A resident of Rockville Centre reported on Aug. 27 that his mother’s 1996 Audi caught fire while parked in the rear of his residence.

Criminal mischief

A resident of Rockville Centre reported on Aug. 24 that his 2010 Nissan, which had been parked in Municipal Parking Field 26, was damaged.

An employee of Sky Athletic Health Club at 310A Merrick Road reported on Aug. 31 that someone damaged a side window of the business with graffiti.
