Rockville Centre emergency workers free man trapped in car

Emergency workers from Rockville Centre’s fire and police departments were on the scene of an overturned vehicle near the Rockville Centre Department of Public Works garage last Friday around 7:30 a.m. Using the jaws of life for 20 minutes, firefighters were able to free a man who was pinned inside. The Hyundai had been heading east on Sunrise Highway when it apparently made its way to the other side of the guardrail and landed on its side. There was no word on the condition of the driver who was taken to a local hospital.
